Recognize and read digraphs in words and short stories. 7. Read and understand a new story using early reading strategies. 8. Recognize the long a sound and use it in new vocabulary. 9. Distinguish between common and proper nouns in sentences and stories. 10. Form plural nouns using regular rules. 11. Recognize and use irregular plural nouns correctly.
