This course helps students learn numbers and place value up to 100, as well as addition and subtraction in an easy and fun way. Students learn the relationship between addition and subtraction and practice basic math facts. They also learn how to read charts and graphs and identify patterns. The course includes real-life math skills such as using money and telling time, along with learning about shapes and measurement.

What will i learn?

• By the end of the course , students will be able to: Count, read, and write numbers to determine how many objects there are in total. Represent numbers in more than one way. Count forward and backward. Combine two groups or increase a quantity to model addition. Use number sentences to represent real-world situations. Take away or compare quantities to model subtraction. Solve problems using subtraction sentences. Explain the relationship between addition and subtraction. Ask questions and organize data to create charts and graphs. Identify and create repeating patterns using numbers and objects. Count one at a time or in groups. Use numbers to compare quantities and arrange numbers in order. Count on and count back to add and subtract. Add three numbers in any order (commutative property). Group ones into tens to add efficiently. Recognize that addition and subtraction are inverse operations. Identify different types of coins and state their values. Find the value of a set of coins by counting on. Read clocks and tell time before and after the hour. Use ten frames, cubes, or pictures to model addition. Use base-ten blocks to model addition and subtraction. Name and compare geometric figures. Sort figures in different ways. Describe the position of objects in space using spatial language. Use standard units to compare objects by length, weight, and volume.
