The Grade 5 Mathematics course aims to strengthen core concepts in number operations, fractions, decimals, and integers by focusing on conceptual understanding and computational fluency. The course helps students analyze numbers, apply properties of operations, solve problems, and represent numbers on a number line, in addition to understanding basic geometry such as angles and geometric shapes. It serves as a supportive resource for review, reinforcement, assessment preparation, and building a strong foundation for future mathematical learning.

What will i learn?

• By the end of this course , the learner will be able to: Determine the prime factors of numbers and write numbers as a product of their prime factors using exponents. Represent fractions and mixed numbers on a number line. Estimate, round, and manipulate very large and very small numbers. Understand positive integers and correctly apply the order of operations. Apply the properties of addition and evaluate numerical expressions. Apply the properties of multiplication in solving mathematical problems. Solve simple problems involving the addition and subtraction of fractions and mixed numbers with like and unlike denominators. Find the product and quotient of two fractions and simplify the resulting fractions. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimal numbers. Add negative integers and subtract positive integers. Divide numbers by 10, 100, and 1,000. Measure, identify, and draw angles and parallel lines. Identify and describe rectangles and triangles. Classify angles and measure them accurately. Classify quadrilaterals and find missing angle measures.
