وصف الدرس التعليمية

This course introduces students to key Earth and space science, weather, and life science concepts. Students explore how weathering, erosion, water, ice, and wind shape Earth’s surface, and learn about the Sun, stars, planets, and the movement of Earth and the Moon. The course also examines weather, climate, air, and the water cycle, helping students understand seasonal changes and climate patterns. In life science, students study plants and animals, learning how their parts function, how organisms are classified, and how plants and animals survive in different environments.

What will i learn?

  • By the end of this course, students will be able to: Explain how physical weathering and erosion cause changes to Earth’s surface. Investigate and describe how weathering breaks down rocks and landforms over time. Observe and describe stars and planets using telescope images, pictures, or video clips from reliable sources. Identify the Sun as the closest star to Earth. Recognize that stars are similar to the Sun but vary in size. Describe differences in the apparent brightness of stars. Recognize and describe the different weather conditions associated with each season. Compare average daily precipitation across different seasons. Compare average daily temperatures during different seasons. Describe seasonal weather conditions using data collected from weather instruments, models, or drawings. Observe and compile lists of various plants and animals in familiar and unfamiliar environments. Classify plants and animals based on observable features and justify their classification. Explain what classification reveals about the relationships among plants and animals within a group.
