his training focuses on developing learners’ skills in place value, the four operations, and algebraic thinking through activities involving estimation, rounding, comparison, and problem solving. It also enhances learners’ ability to confidently use mathematical strategies to solve a variety of problems involving large numbers, expressions, equations, and functions.

What will i learn?

• By the end of the training, learners will be able to: Read and write whole numbers up to the millions, and compare and order them with decimals up to two decimal places. Round whole numbers through the millions to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, or hundred thousand, and decide when rounding is appropriate. Solve problems involving the four operations with whole numbers and understand the relationships among the operations using various strategies. Use standard algorithms accurately for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing multidigit numbers. Write, interpret, and evaluate mathematical expressions using parentheses and the correct order of operations. Use variables and mathematical symbols to write and simplify expressions and equations. Understand and manipulate equations, including the properties of equality in addition and multiplication. Interpret equations as relationships between variables (e.g., ‎y = 3x + 5). Multiply and divide multidigit numbers, and estimate and check the reasonableness of results. Identify factors, and distinguish between prime and composite numbers. Apply effective problem-solving strategies and make appropriate decisions when approaching mathematical problems.
