This Grade 6 mathematics training provides an integrated learning experience based on clear learning outcomes that focus on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and building essential skills progressively. The outcomes included factoring numbers into prime factors, solving various arithmetic operations, working with integers and decimals, applying the order of operations, evaluating algebraic expressions, and solving equations using mental math. These outcomes contributed to increasing students’ confidence, strengthening their problem-solving abilities, and enhancing their engagement with mathematics, supporting their academic independence by the end of the first semester.

What will i learn?

• By the end of the course, students will be able to write numbers as the product of their prime factors. Students will solve mathematical problems using addition and subtraction accurately. Students will solve problems using multiplication and division in various contexts. Students will solve problems involving decimals and use integers appropriately. Students will solve decimal problems and verify the reasonableness of results. Students will compare integers and add and subtract integers correctly. Students will use positive and negative integers to perform multiplication. Students will solve mathematical problems using the order of operations. Students will evaluate algebraic expressions using the order of operations. Students will solve equations using mental math strategies.
