This semester covers two main axes: an analysis of the concept of Personal and Cultural Identity within its local, Islamic, and global context, and a deep dive into History and Heritage by studying the major Muslim empires, global influences, and modern historical developments leading up to the First World War.

What will i learn?

• Students will explore and explain the concept of personal identity. Students will identify ways to achieve personal potential. Students will analyze strategies to overcome personal barriers. Students will understand the process of socialization and evaluate its impact on the individual. Students will study and appreciate cultural diversity within the wider Arab world. Students will analyze the period of changing fortunes and key developments of the 18th century. Students will understand the historical context, causes, and outcomes of the First World War.
