This course develops fundamental mathematical skills in number operations, statistics, geometry, and algebra. Learners practice working with ratios, percentages, and integers, analyze data using measures of central tendency, and study geometric shapes, area, surface area, and volume. The course also introduces coordinate geometry and graphing linear equations, helping students build problem-solving and analytical skills used in real-life mathematical applications.

What will i learn?

• By the end of the course, the learner will be able to: Use ratios and rates to compare the relative sizes of two quantities. Interpret percentages as parts of one hundred and convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. Compare population samples with data from the whole population. Calculate and interpret mean, median, and mode. Identify and classify basic geometric figures such as lines, line segments, triangles, and quadrilaterals. Calculate perimeter and area of triangles and parallelograms and determine surface area. Visualize and draw two-dimensional views of objects made from rectangular solids. Use formulas to calculate the volume of prisms and cylinders. Compare, order, add, and subtract integers. Plot points on the coordinate plane and represent integers and functions graphically. Graph linear equations and identify equations of horizontal and vertical lines.
