This course provides an overview of essential language and reading skills that help students better understand and analyze modern texts. Throughout the course, students learn to identify elements of modern fairy tales and understand figurative language, as well as describe actions happening in the present and past continuous forms.
The course also focuses on developing questioning skills, expressing reasons and purposes, comparing things, and distinguishing between countable and uncountable nouns. In addition, students analyze stories in terms of conflict and resolution and identify the main theme.
Students will also explore poetic devices such as simile, metaphor, personification, imagery, and alliteration.
By the end of the course, students will be able to use English more confidently in both speaking and writing, while improving their critical thinking and comprehension skills.
