By the end of the course, students will understand basic concepts in life science and physical science. They will learn about life cycles, animal behavior, plant structures, and how organisms interact within ecosystems. Students will also explore matter, atoms, molecules, states of matter, energy, waves, and electricity, and understand how these scientific concepts explain natural phenomena in the world around them

What will i learn?

• By the end of the course, students will be able to: Describe the main stages in the life cycle of a flowering plant. Compare the life cycle of a rabbit and a bird. Explain the similarities and differences between complete and incomplete metamorphosis. Explain how offspring resemble their parents. Describe how hibernation helps animals survive. Explain how organisms use their senses to learn about their environment. Identify the two main types of behavior: instinctive and learned. Explain why plants and animals must be adapted to their environment. Compare camouflage and mimicry. Predict how ecosystems may change if a species becomes extinct. Describe the levels of organization in living organisms (cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, organisms). Explain how plant structures work together for survival, growth, and reproduction. Identify the living and nonliving components of ecosystems. Describe the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers. Explain energy flow in food chains and food webs. Explain how matter is recycled in ecosystems. Describe that all matter is made of atoms and molecules. Identify the states and physical properties of matter. Explain how particles determine the properties of substances. Describe basic concepts of waves and energy. Explain the basics of electric charges, static electricity, and electric current.
